Payzar uses a minimal set of cookies — only what is strictly necessary to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files or local storage entries that a website places in your browser when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your session — for example, keeping you logged in as you navigate between pages. Payzar uses browser storage (cookies and localStorage) only to maintain your authenticated session and remember your UI preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics.
2. Cookies We Use
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Expiry | Required |
|---|
| ii-session | Essential | Maintains your authenticated session via Internet Identity | Session (browser close) | Required |
| pzr-prefs | Preference | Remembers UI preferences such as sidebar collapse state and theme selection | 30 days | Optional |
Essential Session Cookie
The ii-session cookie is required for Internet Identity authentication to function. It contains no personally identifiable information — only an encrypted session token. This cookie expires when you close your browser and cannot be disabled without breaking authentication.
Preference Cookie
The pzr-prefs cookie remembers your UI preferences such as sidebar collapse state and display theme. It expires after 30 days and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings without affecting your ability to use Payzar.
3. What We Don't Use
Payzar does not use any of the following tracking or advertising technologies:
- ×Advertising cookies or retargeting pixels (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.)
- ×Analytics SDKs (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
- ×Cross-site tracking cookies or third-party behavioral tracking
- ×Session recording tools (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.)
- ×Social media share buttons that track visitors
- ×A/B testing tools that profile users
